Bloody Microsoft (Archive from September 23, 2004)

My work email is broken. Very technical sounding, eh? I never clean out my inbox and so the computer had a heart attack this morning and would not open due to exhaustion or post-traumatic stress or whatever from all the freaking emails. I mean, Outlook serves like 3 functions, the major one of which is to deal with email. Therefore, in my opinion, it should never fail to do that. So I called my boyfriend at work and he walked me through all the steps to reinstall and download and make friends with programs that Microsoft bloody well knows that you need to make your computer run properly but that it doesn't automatically update you with because wasting your time is super fun, I guess. I did all that and it still didn't work. I found more solutions through the Microsoft homepage. Did they work? Um... no. So I have been forced to consult with my IT person -- side note, I never consult with our IT person because I work for the French Tourist Office but our IT person is Chinese and she has trouble with both French and English. Anyway, so now I am spending the day playing with MySpace and Friendster and other such nonsense that I don't normally have time for.
